Southern Lemonade Recipe
A refreshing glass of lemonade is the perfect cure for a hot summer day in the South. With 3 simple ingredients, you can whip up a delicious homemade lemonade recipe, it's so much better than what you can get at the store.

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup lemon juice 6-7 lemons
- 6 cups water
In a microwave safe bowl, microwave 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water for 4-6 minutes until the water is boiling and the sugar has dissolved. Stir to make sure the sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool while you squeeze the lemons.
Squeeze lemons and strain to remove pulp and seeds. Add to a pitcher and combine with the sugar mixture. Add 5 cups of water and stir to combine. Refrigerate until cold or pour over ice.
- Make sure to strain the lemon juice to remove the seeds.
- Make extra and freeze it in ice cube trays so your lemonade isn't diluted by regular ice cubes.
