- 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon apple brandy optional

- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup butter cold and cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
Preheat the oven to 350º.
Add the chopped apples to a large bowl. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and apple brandy if using. Stir to combine and pour into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add cold butter cubes and use a pastry cutter or fork to incorporate it into the dry ingredients. Once combined, add the oatmeal and sprinkle over the apples.
