Quick and Easy Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe

This Brown Sugar Cream Cheese Frosting combines the molasses flavor of brown sugar with the tang of cream cheese. All you need is a stand mixer and 5 minutes to make this creamy frosting. Perfect for topping your favorite cakes, cupcakes, or cookies.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cream cheese room temp
  • 8 tablespoons butter room temp
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  • With an electric mixer combine the cream cheese and butter. Add the sugars, vanilla and cinnamon. If it is too thick, thin with milk or cream.

Notes

  • You can thin the frosting with milk if using as a glaze or if it is too thick. 
  • If the frosting is too thin, try refrigerating it first and if it is still too thin, add additional powdered sugar.
