Easy Oreo Pie Cookie Recipe

This is the easiest cookie crumb crust you’ll ever make. 2 simple ingredients and you have the perfect chocolate canvas for no-bake pies, cheesecakes, or any recipes that use a graham cracker crust.

All you have to do is crush the Oreos into a fine texture using a food processor or rolling pin. No, you don’t have to remove the filling, it just gets crushed up with the cookies. Then, pour in melted butter and stir to combine.

While you could stop there, this chocolate pie crust will stick better to the pie if you bake it for just a few minutes. Once the crust cools, it’s ready to use!

Seriously, it doesn’t get much easier! If it seems like too much chocolate for your filling, then try using a pecan nut crust instead.

The ingredients for an Oreo Cookie Crust
  • Whole Oreo cookies: We’re crushing Oreo cookies to make crumbs. Use regular Oreos, not the Double Stuf Oreos, as the extra cream filling can make the crust too greasy.
  • Butter: Melted unsalted butter is what binds the Oreo crumbs together to make the crust.

Bake the crust until it’s set, then let it cool completely on a wire rack before using it for your pie. If you don’t want to bake it, at least refrigerate it for 30 minutes before filling.

Pro Tips and Customizations

  • Press: Use a flat-bottomed glass cup or the bottom of a measuring cup to press the crust into the pie dish.
  • Oreos: If you want a break from chocolate, you can use mint Oreos, peanut butter Oreos, golden Oreos, or whatever flavor you like. Lemon Oreos would be delicious in this creamy lemon curd pie.
  • Pan: This recipe will work for an 8×8 square pan, a 9-inch pie plate, or a 9-inch springform pan.
