The Most Refreshing Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

Some summer days feel like you’re walking through soup. Thick, sticky heat that just won’t quit. On those days, I skip the iced tea lemonade and head straight for this frozen strawberry lemonade. It’s bright, tangy, just sweet enough, and yes, slushy.

We’re not using anything fancy here. No store-bought concentrate or weird powders. Just real lemon juice, frozen strawberries, and a quick homemade syrup. That’s it. Throw it all in a blender or food processor, and you’ve got a frosty, tart-sweet cup of summer.

It’s so refreshing because it’s not overly sweet. By making homemade lemonade instead of lemonade concentrate, you can control the sweetness.

If you want to dress it up, toss on some fresh mint, a lemon wedge, or a strawberry if you’re feeling extra.

Everything That Goes in the Blender

These are the two main ingredients you’ll need for this recipe. Don’t forget to check the recipe card for the full list.

  • Lemon juice: Brings a bright, tangy flavor that makes this drink refreshing. Use fresh lemons for the best taste. Bottled juice won’t have the freshest or brightest flavor.
  • Frozen strawberries: Create a slushy texture and add fruity sweetness. Using frozen instead of fresh strawberries is key for the right consistency. Use whole or sliced frozen strawberries.

Blend, Serve, and Sip This Strawberry Frozen Lemonade

Step One: Quick Syrup

Mix sugar and water in a bowl and heat it up until the sugar dissolves completely. Let it chill in the fridge so it’s cold when you’re ready to blend.

Step Two: Juice the Lemons

Squeeze your lemons and set the juice aside.

Step Three: Blend It All Together

Add the frozen strawberries and lemon syrup mixture to a food processor.

Blend until it looks like a slush.

Step Four: Serve Right Away

Scoop or pour the slush into cups and enjoy immediately while it’s cold and icy.

This one’s messy in the best way. Cold hands, sticky counters, a little brain freeze if you’re not careful, but totally worth it. Keep a stash of frozen fruit in the freezer and you’ll never be more than a few minutes from a pitcher of sunshine.

Want to Switch Things Up?

You could totally swap the strawberries with frozen blueberries, peaches, blackberries, even mango. I’ve tried them all. They’re each a little different, but all ridiculously good.

If you’re more of a classic lemonade person (hey, I get it), you’ll love this easy homemade lemonade that’s super customizable. And if you’re feeling fancy, give this iced tea lemonade combo a try. It’s like an Arnold Palmer with a twist, southern, chill, and so easy to sip.
